Import an CSV Contacts file into Outlook

Step 1: Go to the Import/Export Wizard

Outlook 2013

1. Go to the File menu.
2. Select the Open & Export tab.
3. Choose the Import/Export option to import contacts file into Outlook.

Outlook 2010

1. Go to the File menu.
2. Select the Open tab.
3. Choose the Import option to import contacts file into Outlook.

Step 2: Import an CSV file into Outlook contacts

4. On the Import and Export Wizard box,

- Choose the Import from another program or file action to be performed from the list.
- Click Next to continue

5. On the Import a file box,

- Choose to import Comma Separated Values type of file from the list.
- Click Next to continue.

- Choose the appropriate option to handle the duplicate records.
- Click Browse to locate the csv file on your machine.

7. Select the required file on your machine and click OK.

8. Click Next to continue.

9. Choose the destination folder in Outlook in which you want to import the contacts.
Click Next to continue.

10. Click Map the custom fields to verify the mapping of source and destination fields.

11. Once mapping of fields is completed, click OK to continue.

12. Click Finish to complete the import process.

13. All the imported contacts are populated in the Outlook.
