Error messages in clients

  • When the domain property showaccountlockouterrorcode is enabled, the popular desktop IMAP clients display the messages as given in the screen shots below.
  • Note: All POP/IMAP/SMTP and XMPP clients on desktops and mobiles do not display the error message.

Baya (web client)

  • When a account login to Baya fails due to account lockout feature, then the Baya login screen will display the error message as given below.
  • Note: The number of allowed attempts keeps decreasing for subsequent failed attempts.
